A Welcome from the Founder of Moms In Bloom and the garden
Greetings! I'm so glad you found this site here on the web. I don't believe that your being here is an “accident.” Maybe God has brought you here to get some refreshment and encouragement via my free e-newsletter that I post monthly. It includes things of interest to moms, seasonal recipes, craft ideas, fun and meaningful family traditions, devotions, insight from other moms, and most importantly a place to experience God's love and truths.
"Moms in Bloom" was created to celebrate and support Christ-centered motherhood and the incredible women that fill this God-given role. I love the truth that God loves each of us just the way we are, but He loves us too much to want us to stay where we are. He desires each of us to be moving closer, throughout our time here on Earth, to fulfilling all which He created us to be.
There are reasons we are each unique and different-with differing talents, characteristics, circumstances, gifts, AND weaknesses. We're all, in a way, like the beautiful variety of flowers that are currently in full bloom in my flower gardens as I write this. There are so many different colors, sizes, shapes, needs, growth rate, and times of bloom. Separately, they are each so amazing and detailed upon close inspection. -Virtual works of art, beautifully handcrafted by their Creator. Alone each are precious. Yet when the unique flowers are placed together, they are absolutely glorious. I can't barely take my eyes off their splendor! I can't keep from praising God for the radiance that comes from their unity.
God gave me an analogy between my garden and moms. Alone we are precious, but when we unite and fellowship together, sharing our unique gifts and talents, interests and wisdoms learned along the way, we shine off each other and strengthen one another. We create an amazing "garden" with incredible diversity and splendor. We grow and blossom... together!
We need to do our best to
avoid the natural tendency to compare
ourselves with other women and "super moms" we may think we see
around us. You might
be surprised to find out they may be thinking the same thing about you!
I believe God wants us to embrace one another and unify in a way that we
celebrate each other's strengths and gifts and humbly offer ours to help
"fill in the gaps" of each other's weaknesses (which we all have!). In the process, beautiful relationships can grow
I hope the garden blesses you abundantly. If it does, I'd love to hear from you! If you are blessed by them, please feel free to pass them on to other moms as well. I want to reach more moms with God's encouragement and love.
Many blessings to you
and your family,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for
good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
